ghostbird1723 Dank psych riffs and heavy folk jams...excellent music in which to get lost.
Tom's Reviews
Tom's Reviews thumbnail
Tom's Reviews These are 4 very unique songs, songs that utilize a heavy bass and drum mix that seems to dominate the overall sound, and also partake in the sounds of a saxophone, an accordion by way of a synthesizer, and an overall DIY sound that I simply adore. This ep exhibits experimentation in music that is right up my alley! Favorite track: Learn to Feel.
FDJ (Desert Psychlist)
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) thumbnail
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) A strange but totally compelling mix of lo-fi down tuned heaviness and lilting British flavoured folk-rock, brilliant! Favorite track: Guardian of the Grave.

markearnestofreno Definitely some Cathedral vibes in here as well. Psych meets doom meets prog meets rad dual vocals. Be adventurous and grab this! Favorite track: Guardian of the Grave.

1.
What does time do with the beauty it takes Does it just let it wither and die Left to itself to hide all its mistakes Make it more pleasing to the eye Does it conspire with the mirror down the hall That gives you so much to borrow Then one day it will come to take it all You thought there was always tomorrow Why do we tell our children all those lies When the truth is so much worse A happy ending and if someone dies In heaven their wounds are nursed Do we love to decimate all the dreams Of those who are caught in a trace Or do we think one of them can redeem And want to give a fighting chance Not as foolish as I believed and thought But still not as smart as I prayed They think that the tree is dead and it rots Because the bark has peeled away Give it a chance and you'll find in the roots The brightest foods to be retrieved For what you think is such a bulbous fruit Is one of the autumn leaves
2.
You came back to me After we were dead A different house whose walls run red I called you back from heaven You dragged me from hell We're both here on earth but I think I fell I am still alive You are the one who fades But I know your voice and the spot you laid Or maybe I'm the ghost And it's you that cries Seek the angels whose loves have died Chorus: There's a ghost in this house Is it you or is it me Do I leave for beyond now Or do I just leave you be We're standing over The bodies in our beds Not pulled from heaven but from our heads We had the same dream Slept through the alarms I tossed and turned out of your arms Chorus Chorus 2: There's a ghost in this house It's not us but our dreams They will haunt me forever now Just as they have always been
3.
Slumber silent in your bath Think not of the aftermath A love was thought to be found Just another unmarked mound So peacefully you do lay Beauty never to decay Guardian of the Grave I'll be To save you from the ghouls like me This drum will be your coffin Each in their own walls of tin This house will be your graveyard Years pass by with little regard The neighbors will never know It's not gasoline I stow Guardian of the Grave I'll be To save you from the ghouls like me No one dared to explore Til I was away at war With my wounds still I fled Left another in my bed No one knows where I look Or how many more I took Guardian of the Grave I'll be Even in death I am free

Hollow Bones 03:55
Ideas grow in the brain Black clouds beg to born Inside the skull a hurricane Equipped with words well worn Exploding the storm spreads out Like electrons never still Single file they follow the route And slip out of the quill Chorus: Is it from a mind that's cursed Or a hand that deceives Strange urges can't be relieved When drowning out the thirst What you have are chains so tight That keep your wings down held Til the jaded phoenix flight Strips away what they weld These shackles are a suit for me An armor for the war Though it seems like I'm not free Still my arrows soar Chorus As advice turned to commands I broke my bones so well For I'm a slug caught in quicksand A snail without a shell Did your bones ever break I wonder as I'm swallowed Or in them holes did you make Rendering them hollow Chorus
